Southern Highlands Jazz Inc. is proud to present the ‘Next Generation’ of jazz: a group of talented musicians who have just completed their studies at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Introduced and MC’d by musician, arranger and educator Andrew Robertson, this one-of-a-kind gig features Tiana Young (vocals), Harry Birch (bass), Peter Longhurst (drums), Samuel Killick (guitar), Kali Gillen (saxophone) and Liam Aungle (piano).

Over the years, the Sydney Conservatorium has produced some of Australia’s greatest jazz musicians, so this is a great opportunity to see the next generation as they are embarking on their musical career. We are also proud of the local connection with this year’s group. Andrew Robertson, currently Lecturer in 'Jazz Harmony and Arranging’ at the Sydney Conservatorium and Director of the Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra, lives in the Southern Highlands. Harry Birch and Liam Aungle are also alumni of the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, with Liam a product of Bowral High.

Doors will open from 1:00pm with food and drinks available for purchase from the bar. The $30 ticket price is for event entry only, with reserved table seating. If you have any special song requests, please let us know when you book your tickets!
